A supportive community conversation in a welcoming room

Benefits help, education, and advocacy

Friends in Mind

We help underserved people, especially Mandarin-speaking community members, understand their options, access the benefits they deserve, and feel respected through every step.

Our mission

Equitable access, language dignity, and practical support.

Friends in Mind is dedicated to ensuring that every underserved person, particularly those in the Mandarin-speaking community, has equitable access to the benefits they deserve. We offer personalized, language-accessible assistance, culturally competent education, and advocacy that breaks down barriers while upholding the dignity of all we serve.

Join the work

We need more volunteers to meet growing community demand.

Requests for help are coming in faster than our current volunteer capacity. Friends in Mind welcomes people who can help with Mandarin interpretation, outreach, workshops, paperwork support, referrals, and advocacy so no neighbor has to navigate benefits alone.
